A professional basement remodel process is a complex undertaking that demands careful planning, expertise, and attention to detail. Initial Consult
We visit your home to see your space, talk about your project, share our process and talk about next steps and possible ballpark numbers.
Design Collaboration
After you put down a small deposit, the fun starts! You'll meet with a designer to review your layout, scope of work & possible options. Our goal is to create a plan that you'll love!
Material Selections
Time to give the project your personal touch! We'll meet you at a showroom to look at everything from cabinets & countertops to flooring & tile. Bring your concept photos & ideas—you'll use those to make selections that coordinate with your space.
Final Proposal
The noted construction plans are final & material quotes are in. Now it's time to review the final proposal, schedule your pre-construction meeting, make a 5% deposit to finalize the start date & submit your plans for permitting
Pre-Construction
This is the hand-off from design to construction. You'll meet your project manager & go over expectations for the build process. At this point, your designer is on stand-by for any questions or plan updates as needed.
Project Start
Time to get started! On day 1, you can expect your dumpster & lumber delivery and your PM on site to prep for demo & construction (which gets a little noisy!).
Frame/Electrical Walk & Roughs
Your PM & designer meet on site to review the framing/design & answer any questions. Next the electrician is in to set wiring and boxes. Your PM will walk with you before finalizing the placements. The first big construction milestone marks the end of this phase—passing the rough inspections.
Drywall & Finishes
The bones are in place & now it's time to dress things up. Drywall is hung, cabinets are set, tile & flooring are laid & final inspections are completed. Throughout the course of this phase, your PM supervises the work, manages the schedule & keeps you in the loop through daily logs.
Final Punch Walk
We're finishing up! As we officially close out the project, we complete a punch walk with you for any final touch-ups. After that, you're ready to move in & start enjoying your space!* (*You're not completely rid of us though—we're only a phone call away if any warranty items pop up.)
